Project Location: The Sisters of St. Joseph retirement home in London, Ontario
Project Area: 1,600 sq. ft of flat roof and vegetation
Roof Structure Layers: Waterproof membrane manufactured by Bakor and installed with inverted insulation by a certified roofing contractor. Protective clear poly plastic layer, root barrier, Modi drainage board, and filter cloth.
Soil Information: Land Source BioMix, 4", 10 cm depth
Plant Material: NLR pre-grown Native Meadow Mixture mats
Irrigation: No initial watering was required because of the timing of the installation in late fall. The roof is watered by an external sprinkling system as needed in the summer.
Maintenance: Provided by NLR and included as part of a 2 year warranty.
Project Highlights: The mild weather and late fall installation date allowed us to complete this roof without using any water.
